Account deletion

Delete your Schism account in the app or request deletion after uninstalling it.

Delete in the app

1. Open Schism and sign in.
2. Open Settings, then choose Delete account.
3. Review the warning and confirm deletion.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot sign in or are requesting deletion after uninstalling Schism, email dev.keshwani345@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject “Schism account deletion.” We may ask for limited information to verify that the account is yours.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting your account and choosing to cancel a Google Play subscription are separate actions. To stop a subscription, open Google Play, choose Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Schism, and cancel it. Cancelling a subscription alone does not delete your Schism account.

What deletion covers

Deletion removes or de-identifies account information and data controlled only by your account. Shared expense records may remain visible to other group members where needed to preserve their group ledger. Backup copies containing your data are purged within 30 days, and records we are required by law to keep are retained only for as long as that obligation lasts.
